Who is it for

This course is for anyone involved in training delivery. It provides comprehensive, practical tuition on training best practice that's suitable for both newly appointed trainers and those looking for a practical refresher.

What is it about

This intensive three-day course will give you a complete toolkit for harnessing the full potential of a training group through effectively facilitating discussion and participation.  You will learn how to adapt training to suit different learning processes and practice ways to keep attention by delivering stimulating sessions. It combines robust theoretical work with frequent practice delivery sessions in a safe, supportive environment.

This course is designed in accordance with and fully supported by the same training competency framework that we use to assess to our training faculty. This is a set of standards developed by our Head of Learning and Academic Board that has been accredited by both the ISO and the Matrix Standard.

This course forms part of our Level 3 Award in Learning and Development accredited by EDI.

Delivery Style

All of Reed Learning's courses are delivered in an active and engaging way to help delegates create real change. We use a robustly-designed and independently-accredited competency framework to ensure each course is delivered in a way suitable to a variety of learning styles. Train thr Trainer uses a mix of theory, roleplay, practice delivery and exercises to give delegates a practical toolkit to deliver engaging training that drives behavioural change. Like all of our courses, it follows our Do-Review-Learn-Apply Model:

In addition, Train the Trainer is based on Reed Learning's independently-accredited trainer competency framework. This framework identifies six key areas of training delivery and a wide range of individual actions supporting each one:

If you're interested in finding out more about our trainer competency framework or our academic standards you can visit our quality page.

How do we make sure you see results?

Our training doesn't begin and end on the day. We have a five-stage evaluation model that means delegates are challenged to set real objectives before and during the course. Every delegate uses the personalised training and insight from the facilitator to create meaningful actions that will help them make a difference at work. We follow-up eight weeks after the course to make sure that these actions have been implemented, and all delegates are entitled to re-attend the course for free as a refresher. Our process is so robust we've received accreditation from the ISO and the Matrix Standard.
