Who is it for

Financial and other managers:

  • needing an overview of the whole field of performance management, measurement and benchmarking
  • introducing a performance measurement or management system or undertaking a benchmarking exercise
  • wanting to choose, design and implement measures, KPIs, benchmarks and targets concerned about the cultural, behavioural and management implications

What is it about

Performance management is the activity of tracking performance against targets and identifying opportunities for improvement - but not just looking back at past performance. The focus of performance management is the future - what do you need to be able to do and how can you do things better? Managing performance is about managing for results.
