Who is it for

Managers, supervisors, designers and CDM Co-ordinators from the Construction Industry who have passed the NEBOSH General Certificate course within the last 5 years.

The certificate helps you to manage risks effectively. It may also prove effective for those who have to manage the activities of contractors. The qualification is specifically referred to as a key competence in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.

The qualification is also appropriate for supervisors and managers working in other industries such as utilities, and even broadcasting, where temporary workplaces are a feature of their activities.

What will I get out of it?

Certification

Candidates are assessed with a written examination for the taught unit. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of this unit. A Certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the unit and the practical assessment.

The practical assessment is carried out in the delegate's own workplace.

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.

Prices includes exam fees, course materials, lunch and refreshments.

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate is accredited at Level 3 within the National Qualification Framework (NQF) by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in England, the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS) in Wales and the Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) in Northern Ireland. The logos of these organisations will appear on the certificates awarded for the qualification.
