The course is suitable for HR specialists, training and line managers who wish to use ability tests and personality questionnaires to help in the selection and ongoing management of employees.It is best suited to people who are comfortable in the use of statistics prior to the course, and the assimilation of large amounts of information over a short period, as this is an
intense course.

The course uses a combination of informal input sessions, such individual and group practical exercises, along with formally assessed elements to ensure that learners have achieved the required level of competence against the BPS criteria. This variety of activities provides delegates with a strong theoretical grounding in psychometric testing and also the practical skills to confidently use ability and personality assessment in the workplace.

- Examine a wide range of ability tests and other assessment methods
- Evaluate and select appropriate ability tests for use in their own organisation
- Administer and score ability tests
- Interpret and feedback ability test results
- Achieve proficiency in administering, interpreting and feeding back the OPQ
- Understand how to apply the OPQ in selection, development and team building
- Relate the OPQ to competencies.
