Through the government's Train to Gain programme, funding has been put aside to help businesses develop their staff.
A key objective of the Train to Gain funding is to make the UK better skilled and more competitive. Money is available to help all UK workers reach a Level 2 qualification. There is also funding available for specific regions, leadership and management training, and to help small businesses manage time out for learning.
The funding will help organisations look beyond the recession to where their sources of competitiveness will be in the longer term. Find out more about the government Skills Agenda here.
Reed Learning has been selected to provide a range of blended learning programmes to Londoners, with full and part funding from the European Social Fund. The NVQ programmes at Level 2 and 3 include Team Leading, Management, Customer Service, Business & Administration and IT.
