Funding for management development in London

We can help you obtain up to £1,000 funding from the government towards leadership and management training, through the Leadership and Management Advisory Service, if you meet the eligibility criteria.

• Are you a senior manager or "key director" in an existing business, social enterprise or charity?
• Does your organisation employ between 2 and 249 full time or equivalent employees?
• Is your organisation based in one of the 33 London boroughs?
• Are you an EU resident/have you lived in the EU for the last 3 years?
• If your organisation employs fewer than 10 people, are you the owner, CEO or equivalent?

Please note - public sector organisations and any organisations that have accessed LMAS funding since April 2011 are not eligible for funding.

Leadership and Management Advisory Service (LMAS) Grants are matched funding - that means that you will receive the same amount from the grant that you spend on training up to £1000. 

For example:

If the training programme costs £1,000 + VAT, you can claim back £500

If the training programme costs £2,500 + VAT, you can claim back £1,000

Please note, organisations can not reclaim VAT from the LMAS whether they are VAT registered or otherwise.

An independent adviser (not a salesperson!) will contact you to confirm your eligibility, identify your development needs and draw up a Personal Development Plan (PDP).

They will then suggest the most relevant training and providers for you. You will choose the provider you are happy with.

You book and pay, then invoice the LMAS for half the cost (up to £1000).
