Our environment
In 2005, Reed became the UK's first major recruitment company to go CarbonNeutral™. As a group, Reed produced 4,208 tonnes of Carbon in 2004 and this is now being offset through investment in forestry projects throughout the UK.

Trying to be greener
We were the first company to introduce public training courses showing business how to be more environmentally friendly in 2007.
We practise what we preach, too:
- We have reduced the quantity of paper based direct marketing. We can't replace it entirely, but we encourage people to sign up for email and web marketing so we use fewer trees
- All our marketing is printed on FSC certified paper from renewable forests by ISO14001 printers using vegetable based inks
- All our training materials are printed on 100% post-use recycled paper
- We use motion sensors and individual light switches in our training centre and head office to cut down on wasted energy
- We honour the Reed employee who makes the most significant green shift both at work and home in a yearly award ceremony to encourage eco-friendly behaviour and ideas
To help you do more at your workplace, why don't you visit www.reedlearning.co.uk/green, and see how the courses could benefit you.
Giving back to the community
We regularly take part in charitable events and make donations in the process. We've raised money for Samaritans, Red Nose Day, & Children in Need, to name a few.
Last year our chosen charity was Marie Curie - we held a variety of events to raise money for this fantastic cause.
This year our chosen charity is Great Ormond Street.
We also look to sponsor causes we really believe in:
Campaign for learning’s Learning at Work day with over £1000 training donated free in support
Comic Relief’s Adult Learners Week celebrations with over £1000 training donated at no cost to the charity.
