Reed Learning Standard Terms
Payment
The course fee must be paid in full prior to the course date, either at the time of booking or on receipt of invoice. Reed Learning reserves the right to re-allocate the course place to another delegate if fees are not paid on time. All transfer charges must be paid for on receipt of the invoice. Failure to receive the course fees in adherence with these terms means that Reed Learning reserves the right to request payment on the day of the course.
Please note that if the course date is within 2 weeks of booking, you will need to pay by credit card.
Late Payment
In the event of late payment, Reed Learning reserves the right to charge interest on all outstanding amounts at the rate of 2% per calendar month or part thereof from the last date that payment was due to the date that payment is made.
Prices
The prices quoted on this site and in our brochures are correct at the date of publication (that is the earliest course date published within a brochure) and for 90 days thereafter. Reed Learning reserves the right to adjust these prices in order to meet their true cost outside this period.
Transferring Courses
If a delegate wishes to transfer a booking to a later course there will be an administrative charge of 25% of the course fee if it is within 6-20 working days of the original course date, or a charge of 40% of the course fee if it is within 5 working days of the original course date. If that transfer is then cancelled and/or the delegate fails to attend, the full course fee remains payable. If a second transfer is requested this will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation fee will be liable in addition to the new course fee.
If the transfer is for a course that forms part of a purchased Professional Qualification there will be an administrative charge of £100 + VAT if it is within 20 working days of the course. If more than two transfers are made per accredited training package, the administrative charge for the subsequent transfers will be £150 + VAT.
Early Bird Transfers
Places booked using the early bird discount are non-transferable. If you wish to transfer to an alternative date, the course fee is non-refundable and you will need to rebook another place.
Cancelling Courses
All cancellations to bookings must be received in writing by email to more.info@reed.co.uk. Cancellations must be made 20 working days prior to the start of a course. If a booking is cancelled within 1-15 working days or if the delegate fails to attend the course, the full course fee must be paid immediately. If the course is cancelled between 15-20 working days a cancellation fee of 50% will be payable. If a course which forms part of a purchased Professional Qualification is cancelled within 20 working days of the start date of the course a cancellation fee of £400 per day of course remains payable.
Early Bird Cancellations
Once booked using an Early Bird discount the course cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel the course then the full fee will be required.
If Reed has to cancel a course the delegate will be offered a choice of the following three options: transfer free of charge to the next available date, an alternative course of the delegate's choice or a full refund. The Early Bird Discount is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
Complaints and Free Course Refund Guarantee
All complaints, requests for refund and claims relating to our free course guarantee must be received in writing to more.info@reedlearning.co.uk within 20 working days of the course date. If the claim is requesting a replacement course then the replacement course must occur within 90 days of the original course date.
Changing Delegate Details
There will be no charge if a substitute person wishes to replace the original delegate. Please inform our office of any change to the original booking. If the delegate change is for a course which forms part of a purchased Reed Business School accredited training package then any change is subject to a £50 administrative charge.
Cancellation of Courses by Reed Learning and Changes to Course Content
Reed Learning’s courses are constantly updated and improved and Reed Learning reserves the right to alter any of the courses’ content without prior notice. Reed Learning reserves the right to cancel a course at any time without liability. In these circumstances, delegates will be offered an alternative date, a credit note or a full refund. Reed Learning will additionally refund travel expenses if the course is cancelled within 10 working days of the start day. Reed Learning will not compensate for time spent travelling or away from the office.Outside this period, we advise you to contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 132 448 before booking.
Course Notes and Training
The notes and training for Reed Learning courses cannot be relied upon for legal interpretation. Neither Reed Learning nor its employees, trainers or consultants can accept responsibility for delegates’ actions, or those of other people reading the course notes or interpreting the training in litigation, or responsibility for any loss incurred as a result of relying on the training or the training notes. If in doubt, consult a lawyer.
Please note there will be a charge of £15 + VAT for all additional copies of course materials required.
Free Refresher Courses
Attendance on the original course is mandatory. Free refresher courses are subject to availability. No single course may have more than one free refresher place allocated to it. Individuals are limited to one free refresher place per course per year. Refresher courses must be taken within two years of the original course date. Transfer or cancellation of a free refresher place will be subject to a flat rate administration fee of £100. Free refresher places on residential courses are subject to a charge to cover administration.
Discounts and Special Offers
Any discounts offered on Reed Learning courses are exclusive. They cannot be combined. Except for company wide or pre-agreed discounts, the higher discount will always be applied. In the case of special offers these must be requested at time of booking, and will not automatically be applied. In cases where a free gift is offered, this will be delivered to the chosen address following full payment and the delegates' attendance on the course, and only when the relevant gift code is quoted at the time of booking. Where discounts are offered on "courses" the offer will apply to one, two and three day scheduled training courses delivered by Reed Learning and not to courses delivered by our partners, qualification programmes or in-house training programmes.

Huddlebuy transfers
Places booked using the Huddlebuy discount are non-transferable. If you have to transfer to an alternative date then full payment for the course will still be required. If a Huddlebuy booking is transferred, it will revert to full price - you will not get Huddlebuy discount.
Huddlebuy cancellations
If you need to cancel the course then there will be no refund of the course fee. If Reed has to cancel a course the delegate will be offered a choice of the following three options: 1) Transfer free of charge to the next available date, 2) An alternative course of the delegate's choice or 3) A full refund.
The offer will not apply on existing bookings - you can not cancel existing bookings and re-book with the discount.
The Huddlebuy offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
Competition terms and conditions
1. In circumstances where prizes are awarded at random, this is done in accordance with the laws of chance and under the supervision of an independent observer. Instant win tickets, tokens or numbers are allocated on a fair and random basis.
2. Where the selection of winning entries is open to subjective interpretation, an independent judge will be appointed. Alternatively, this may be judged by a panel including one member who is independent of Reed Learning or any additional competition promoters or intermediaries. Those appointed to act as judges will be competent to judge the subject matter of the competition. Their full names will be made available on request.
3. Where a prize is stated, this will be non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
4. Any proof of purchase requirements shall be clearly stated. Prize promotions that might encourage, but do not require, purchase shall state clearly that no purchase is necessary and will explain the free entry route.
5. Winners and results will be made available on request, including the name and county of major prizewinners and, if applicable, their winning entries. Prizewinners shall not be compromised by the publication of excessively detailed personal information. For a list of the prizewinners, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope (please allow 28 days for delivery) stating the name of the competition to:

6. Copyrights on entries shall be held by Reed Learning unless otherwise stated.
7. Where relevant, entries shall be held by Reed Learning unless return of entries is requested or stated in the conditions of the specific competition.
8. Names of winners may be used by Reed Learning in post-event publicity.
9. Prize winners will be notified in writing and will receive their prize within six weeks of the competition closing date.

Winter sale 2011 - Unwrap 20% off training
Book any Reed Learning course & get 20% off when you book before 31st December. This discount only applies to courses and qualifications run by Reed Learning, not by our partners. In-house programmes must be booked by 31/12/2011 and delivered on or before 24/06/2012. In-house programme offer excludes development of bespoke or customised programmes and qualifications, and is limited to a maximum of 12 delegates per session. In-house offer excludes trainer expenses. Use of the offer must be stated at the time of booking. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. Courses booked at this special rate will receive no refund on cancellation or transfer.
Early Bird Discount
The booking must be made more than eight weeks in advance of the course date to be eligible for the 20% Early Bird discount, and payment for the course needs to be received at least eight weeks in advance.
The Early Bird Discount is valid for all public courses, with the exception of PRINCE2® Foundation, Practitioner, Practitioner 2 Day Exam Workshop and Re-Registraton; Managing Successful Programmes Foundation and Practitioner; ITIL Foundation Certificate; CIMA courses and all Professional Qualifications.

Once booked using an Early Bird discount the course cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel the course then the full fee will be required.

Course of the month offer
The course of the month offer is only valid on the selected course for that month.
Course of the month transfers
Places booked using the course of the month discount are non-transferable. If you have to transfer to an alternative date then full payment of the quoted fee will be required. If a course of the month booking is transferred, it will revert to full price - you will not get course of the month discount.
Course of the month cancellations
Once booked using a course of the month offer, the course cannot be cancelled. If you need to cancel the course then the full fee will be required.
If Reed has to cancel a course the delegate will be offered a choice of the following three options: transfer free of charge to the next available date, an alternative course of the delegate's choice or a full refund.
The offer will not apply on existing bookings - you can not cancel existing bookings and re-book with the discount.
The course of the month offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer and can not be booked online. This offer must be booked over the phone quoting the relevant discount code.
Cancelling courses
If a purchased Professional Qualification is cancelled at any time, a £150 administration charge will be payable. If a purchased Professional Qualification is cancelled within 20 working days of the start date of one of the courses which form part of the qualification, the full cost of the qualification remains payable.
Transfers or cancellations of free course places will be subject to a fee of £100 + VAT if the transfer or cancellation is made within 20 working days of the course date.
Learning Passport
The four days of training must be complete courses, e.g. a five day course cannot be sold as part of a Learning Passport.
The training must be delivered within 90 days of the start date of the first course booked to qualify as part of the Learning Passport. The start date of the first course must be no more than 6 months from the date of booking.
Any course transfer within the aforementioned 90 day period will be subject to a £50 administration charge. Any transfer of a course to a date outside this period will be subject to a £50 administration charge, and the remainder of the full course fee for that course will be payable.
Transferring the Learning Passport to another delegate within the original time period will be subject to a £100 administration charge. Transferring the Learning Passport to another 90 days will be subject to our normal terms and conditions. For example, when within 20 working days of the date of the first course, a 25% transfer fee, equalling £250 + VAT, will be payable. If within 5 working days of the date of the first course, a 40% transfer fee, equalling £400 + VAT, will be payable. Any non-attendance of a course as part of the Passport will result in the full cost of the Learning Passport still being payable. Any cancellation of the Learning Passport will result in a 100% cancellation charge. It must be the same individual who attends each day of training. Thus, the delegate will be required to provide photo ID when attending each training course.
The Learning Passport is not valid in conjunction with any other special offer or discount.
Royal Holloway Certificate
The Post Graduate Certificate in International Business comprises of 10 days of training. If you are unable to attend any of the face-to-face training sessions, there is not the opportunity to reschedule, however, you can continue on the programme by utilising the reading materials and Virtual Learning Environment provided for self-study. The exam dates and assignment deadlines are set and failure to attend or submit work will mean you are unable to complete the Certificate.
Within 20 working days of the induction day for the programme, any cancellation will be liable to the full cost of the Certificate being payable, and any transfer to a later enrolment date or to another delegate will be subject to an administration fee of £500.
Transferring Courses (Royal Holloway Certificate)
If a delegate wishes to transfer a booking to a later date there will be a charge of 25% of the course fee if the transfer request is made more than 30 working days before the original start date. If a delegate wishes to transfer a booking to a later course within 30 working days of the original course date there will be a charge of 40% of the course fee. If that transfer is then cancelled and/or the delegate fails to attend, the full course fee remains payable. If a second transger is requested, this will be treated as a cancellation and the cancellation fee will be liable in addition to the new course fee.
Cancelling Courses (Royal Holloway Certificate)
All booking cancellations must be made more than 30 working days prior to the start of the course, and will be subject to a 25% administrative charge. If a booking is cancelled within 1 - 29 working days or if the delegate fails to attend the course, the full course fee must be paid immediately. All cancellations must be received in writing by email to training@reed.co.uk.
Free Refresher Courses (Royal Holloway Certificate)
These programmes are exempt from the 'free refresher' course offer.
Free Course Refund Guarantee (Royal Holloway Certificate)
These programmes are exempt from the free course/refund guarantee.
Changing Delegate Details
For the Alpine Leadership Challenge, there will be a charge of £500 + VAT if a substitute person wishes to replace the original delegate, to cover changes to flights and accommodation.
Health & Insurance
Delegates enrolled on to the Alpine Leadership Challenge are required to arrange their own personal travel insurance of the duration of the event. You must ensure that your insurance policy provides adequate cover, as Reed Learning is not liable for any accident, illness of injury that may occur during or as a result of that event. This programmes presents a prolonged physical challenge to the delegate, sometimes in extreme weather conditions. You will be required to walk and climb over difficult terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time. Please ensure you have considered these requirements before booking your attendance on the Alpine Leadership Challenge. If you are unsure whether it is suitable for you, please consult your GP.
Credit Notes and other Repayments
You acknowledge and agree that you will not be entitled to bring any claims or legal proceedings in respect of any refund or other repayment of funds howsoever arising, 4 years following the date on which the entitlement to the refund or other repayment of funds arose.
Virtual Classrooms
Get 5 free Virtual Classroom sessions when you buy any short course at full price. (Excluding another Virtual Classroom). If you need to transfer or cancel within 15 working days, there will an administrative charge of £50 + VAT.
There will be no charge if a substitute person wishes to replace the original delegate. Please inform our office of any change to the original booking.
